ALSATIA HOUSE
Who is behind
Coliving Casa Alsatia?
We are Bernardo and Sara, two siblings who one day convinced their parents to create, together, a place with a family soul and an international focus.
Sara is passionate about travel and cultural fusion. With over 15 years of experience in Madrid, London, and Paris, she has worked on investment and entrepreneurship projects, allowing her to experience the rise of coliving in Europe, and especially in Spain, firsthand. From an investor's perspective, she has gained valuable experience in this model, which she now combines with her passion for interior design, creating soulful spaces that foster coexistence, community, and well-being. She had her first coliving experience in Paris in 2024. In her free time, you can find her practicing yoga or planning her next adventure.
Bernardo is an architect, passionate about nature (you can find him snorkeling on Las Vegas beach) Canteras as well as hiking through the most remote places on the island). He began drawing at a very early age and today he can draw you the Santa Ana Cathedral while you're having a beer. If you want to see it for yourself, follow him on @tumeilustras. A travel enthusiast, he had his coliving experience in Hamburg in 2023. In his free time, he spends time between the sea, the mountains, and his inseparable sketchbook, although you can also find him on a beach or in a park playing sports.

What is Coliving?
Coliving spaces are social spaces primarily designed for digital nomads. The concept of coliving originated in San Francisco more than 10 years ago in response to the needs of young entrepreneurs who, motivated by the professional opportunities offered by Silicon Valley, traveled to the birthplace of entrepreneurship in search of new projects.
The area's high rental prices, combined with low demand, meant these young entrepreneurs couldn't find the ideal place to live. In response to this new problem, buildings began to emerge in which tenants shared their apartments and common areas.
The innovation behind this form of coexistence, which already existed, arose when the decision was made to bring together individuals with similar interests, contributing not only to a friendly coexistence but also potentially representing a professional opportunity.
